Activated carbon has long been used as an adsorbent in the gold processing industry to recover gold from mining operations. Though coconut shell granular activated carbon (GAC) is the main product used for gold extraction, some clients will prefer our pellet activated carbon, which decreases the carbon wear rate.

But for most clients, coconut shell activated carbon will be the best choice. With the high hardness and abrasion resistance, it can provide the best adsorption from aqueous cyanide solutions in CIP, CIL and CIC systems.
